Sofia Quigley
Zofia Brewinski (legally changed her name to Sofia ) started her journey in life 10-14-1943, Heilbronn am Neckar, Germany in a Nazi work camp. Her family came to the USA in 1950 via the Catholic Church. She grew up in Thompson, North Dakota, and graduated from High School there.
During her younger years, she learned to keep house, picked potatoes and babysit to earn extra money. She attended North Dakota State for company. Later she went to work at Capital Finance, where she met husband David Walter Quigley, married for 53 years. After Capital Finance, she found herself working at Ford Motor Credit Company as a clerk.. this is where her career flourished with many promotions to being one of the first women to become a Dealer Account Manager. She retired in March 30th, 2001.
She was blessed with 2 daughters, Kelly and Kristen, and leaves behind her sister Mary, brothers Paul and John. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren, David, Madison, Sofia and Wyatt. Plus many nieces and nephews.
Some things she really LOVED – her family, faith and Catholic church, friends near and far, her ranch in Ellenburg, all her fur babies (especially Mitzi and Buddy, Dogs and her beloved horses Levi Buxs and Cheebar). If she was not home on the West side you would find her with our dad at their Ranch in Eastern Washington, riding horses, driving her convertible, picking up wood and more wood, painting and SUNBATHING with a good book. On the West side she would volunteer at Evergreen hospice, Discovery Shop (cancer thrift store) and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and attend many wonderful Gala’s and travels with her husband David.
