Todd J. Olson, passed away on January 12, 2021 at Providence Hospital in Everett, WA, as a result of complications from brain surgery. He is now in God’s loving arms. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, 7 stepchildren, and 18 grandchildren of Lynnwood, WA; his parents Jerry and Diana Olson of Incline Village, Nevada; his sister Tracy Santos of Las Vegas, Nevada, and his niece Sabrina Santos of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Todd was born in Evanston, Illinois. When he was a young child his family moved to California. Todd spent his grade school and high school years in Danville, California. He graduated from The University of Idaho with a major in Accounting and Corporate Financial Management. After graduation in 1989 Todd moved to Seattle and completed his CMA (Certificate in Management Accounting).
His Accounting and Finance background led him to several companies in the Seattle area including Washington Natural Gas, Microsoft, and Teague. He held positions as a Controller, Senior Project Analyst, and Senior Financial Analyst.
Todd had a great love for music and enjoyed a large collection of recordings from many artists. Skiing, golf, hunting, and fishing were among his favorite sports. His most memorable experiences were the hunting and fishing trips with his dad taking him to Alaska, Argentina, and Canada. He was an avid fan of the Oakland Athletics baseball team and the Seattle Seahawks.
Todd was loved for his great sense of humor, thoughtfulness and kindness to his many friends and co-workers. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, husband, stepfather and Papa Todd. He will be fondly remembered for his smile, kindness, quick wit and generosity.
In light of COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date, when it is safe for everyone who knew and loved Todd to attend.
