Clara Ratliff Zerbe
Clara (May) Ratliff Zerbe, Age 91, passed away on Sun. Jan 31, 2021. Clara was born and raised in Lizton, IN to Clarence and May (Truax) Ratliff.
She was a graduate of Lizton High School and attended Indiana University, and received her degree in Dietetics.
She married Wesley W Zerbe in Lizton, IN on Dec. 22, 1954. Together they moved to many places and settled in Broomfield, CO in 1977. Clara moved to Kirkland, WA. in Sep. 2015. She worked as a homemaker raising her two daughters and as a dietitian. She belonged to PEO, Daughters of the King, CO Shakespeare Guild, AAUW and was a Master Gardener. She loved traveling the world and was always ready for a cruise.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Zerbe, parents May and Clarence Ratliff, brothers Lee and Donald Ratliff, and sister Cordelia Fay Collings. Clara is survived by her daughters, Michelle (John) Stewart of Denver, N.C., and Melanie Zerbe of Kirkland, WA., sister Roberta (Jim) Graham of Brownsburg, IN and a brother Charles Ratliff of Brownsburg, IN. and grandchildren Taylor Dixon, Tess and Colin Pate.
A committal of ashes will take place at Fort Logan in Denver, CO sometime during the summer of 2021.
